When you think of elevators, you may not think of entrance frames right away, yet they serve an important function. Here we will go over your entrance frame options, their importance and how they function.
We construct all our elevator entrance frames in house at our manufacturing facility here in Florida. Entrances are available in a variety of sizes and finishes, with each one tested to meet or exceed state and local code requirements.
Entrance frames are important for elevators because they enhance the appearance of car landings and provide a finished look and feel at floors and in lobbies. They also provide safe movement of the platform up and down within hoistways of an enclosed shaft, open atrium or exterior of a building structure. The right frame can provide an excellent first impression to guests as they enter your building. There are many types of entrances, such as side sliding, center parting, and swing doors.
In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, entrance frames must be fire resistant, structurally able to hold the surrounding area, be architecturally relevant, and meet state and local codes.

A lot of knowledge, experience and planning is involved in the safety, design, style and manufacture of elevator frame entrances and doors. Most people don’t even notice these things, and that’s how it should be. Frames should integrate so well into the landscape that they don’t stand out like a sore thumb. The riding public should enjoy the benefits of elevators and their frames as they go about their daily lives.
